What’s the difference between a wedding concierge and a wedding planner?
I knew you had another burning question! Let me break it down for you:
Wedding planners are all about the execution. They are your liaison between you and all your vendors. They’ll make sure things happen on schedule and according to plan (and if they don’t, wedding planners have a plan B, C, D, and E). They manage the logistics of your wedding.
But for all the things a wedding planner will do, there are some things they won’t (and, honestly, shouldn’t have to) do. That’s where your wedding concierge kicks in. As a wedding concierge, I’m task oriented and I’m there for you! Got DIY projects to pull off? Your wedding planner doesn’t have time for that stuff – and neither does your bridesmaid squad. But your wedding concierge does! Need someone to run wedding day errands? That’s not what your planner is there for. That’s the kind of stuff you hire your wedding concierge to do. Don’t trust that your bustle will get buttoned correctly or that your corset will end up straight? Don’t worry, your wedding concierge can handle that! Other things your wedding concierge will do:
· Pick up or drop off wedding attire
· Be an extra set of eyes at a dress fitting
· Create an emergency kit of your favorite cosmetics
There is definitely some crossover between a planner and a concierge (for instance, both can help you scout vendors). But your wedding planner is there for your wedding, while your wedding concierge is there for you. She's YOUR personal wedding assistant. She's less about making the wedding happen, and more about helping you hold on to your sanity.
If you have a planner, your wedding concierge compliments your planner. She'll do tasks that your planner can’t do. If you don’t have a planner, your wedding concierge is there to help you power through your wedding checklist like a pro.
